Open burning regulations are enforced by the Division for Air Quality.  It is illegal to burn garbage or any other materials, except natural plant matter, such as brush and woody debris.  Visit the Division for Air Quality Web site for more information.

Before burning any brush call Hardin County 911 administration line (270)765-2900 to inform them that you will be performing a controlled burn.  This can help to eliminate false-alarm runs from other concerned citizens calling 911.  We thank you for your cooperation in this.
